Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early rain What so proudly we hailed at the lighting last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and wet stars, thru the perilous rain, O’er the rats we watched, were so gallantly floating? And the thunder’s red glare, the lighting bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still  square. O say, does that wet star banner yet wave O’er the land of the fee and the home of the mice?
